Art with a Voice- Communicating through Art

This is an ARTreach residency that teaches students to paint expressively on giant canvas. The workshop focuses on the elements of Graffiti and Expressive Art. Taught by professional artists, students will learn how to express themselves in a non-destructive non-violent manner. Art Speaks! It is a powerful tool for communication.

What is your RAP?

Students are given an opportunity to make their voice HEARD through the power of the written and the spoken word and learn how to make their words work for them, not against them!  This workshop is facilitated by a professional DJ/RAP artist of URGEWORKS to help students access their creative genius to write and recite their own poetry in a Spoken Word presentation that can be appreciated by all.

Get Real! - Illustration

A horse is a horse. Students will feel like the successful artist they never knew they were when they produce art that is realistic and appreciated by the classroom critics. Fun! Facilitator, Elizabeth Linder

MasterPEACE

The expressive masters of the 20th century, Paul Klee and Kandinsky believed art could be heard, that colors could create harmony. This is a unique ARTreach Expressive Art Workshop facilitated by Lorena Fernandez that combines art, movement and music to lead the group to a new level of appreciation for the creative process and how it connects to a person’s overall sense of peace, understanding and contentment.
