ARTbeat! Expressive Arts for cancer patients, stroke victims and persons experiencing anxiety or depression
The practice of Expressive Arts embodies artful expression that fosters psychological physical and spiritual wellness. ARTreach Expressive Arts sessions provide a safe non-judgmental, non competitive space where individuals can express, process, and free themselves of unwanted emotions using color, line, texture, form, movement, gesture, sound and writing. A professional Expressive Arts facilitator provides artistic experiences and creates an empathic atmosphere where emotional relief and healing can occur. Rhythm Journey
presented as a wellness program that connects participants through primal drumming and pulse. Through the physical experience of creating rhythm, the group engages individually and collectively to awaken their spirit to potentially transcend the pain of illness. Scrapbooking for critically ill children
This program teaches basic to intermediate scrapbooking techniques. Layout, design, color and balance as well as journaling will be presented. The scrap book theme is "All About Me" which will draw upon the positive and wonderful blessings of each child. This keepsake book is presented to the family at the conclusion of the program. The goal of this program is to inspire and delight children as they reflect and document their most precious memories while surrounded by the most significant people in their lives. The child and family is encouraged to provide photos, but our staff photographer will be on site and taking photographs for the child to also use in their scrapbook. Facilitator, Kelly Litvak
