Katherine Ammer- Chairman of the Board

Over the years, Katherine has served on the Finance Committee and Nominating Committee and as a grants advisor for ARTreach. She has been involved in not-for-profit work for many years in Austin, San Antonio, Galveston and now Katy.  She was named Texas Volunteer of the Year by Governor Mark White. She has been on both sides of the Board Room table by being President of the Lone Star Girl Scout Council and also Executive Director of The Ronald McDonald House in Galveston.  She has experience in the work of Foundations and numerous community organizations.  She has been interested in the Arts for many years and is one of the founding directors of the East End Theatre Company in Galveston.  She is presently President of Goose Lake Corp. and active board member in other organizations including the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce, the Katy Historical Society, The Katy Performing Arts Society, and the Christ Clinic Board of Directors. She is affiliated with the Amobi Okoye Foundation.

Carol Eckels Adams- (Katy area Member at Large) Carol Adams serves on the City of Katy Council and is the executive director of the Katy Hertiage Society. She has devoted over three decades toward the work of historical conservation and preserving local heritage. Before working for the Katy Heritage Society, she worked with the Harris County Historical Society, the Texas Historical Commission, the Houston Heights Association and the Harris County Historical Commission. For her efforts she has received two prestigious individual Good Brick Awards from the Greater Houston Preservation Alliance, the Historic Preservation Medal from the NSDAR and was named 2003 Volunteer of the Year by the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce. Carol continues to support local and regional organizations as a board member for the City of Katy Heritage Park Board, the Katy Performing Arts Society, Katy ARTreach, Katy Literary Club and as a charter member of the West Fort Bend County Republican Women, life member of the 100 Club, life member of the Friends of Katy Library and more.

Mary Gready (Fort Bend area Member at Large)
Mary Gready is the Supervisor of Special Programs at the Fort Bend County Juvenile Probation Department and is dedicated to developing and supporting programs and partnerships that will meet the special needs of at-risk juveniles. She was formerly the Executive Director of Fort Bend Partnership for Youth, Inc., a non-profit mentoring agency founded in 1996. While this nonprofit’s programs were absorbed into the juvenile probation department’s operations in 2004, the nonprofit still exists as an auxiliary organization expressly for support of the programs and services benefiting juveniles involved with this department. Mary is a Trustee on the Board of Fort Bend Partnership for Youth. Mary first served as an Advisor to the ARTreach Board in conjunction with the special programs being brought into the Juvenile Detention Center and then became a Trustee in order to better represent Fort Bend County.


Scott Bieber - Executive Board Member at Large
Scott Bieber serves on the ARTreach finance committee. He is also Marketing Manager for Baker Petrolite’s Industrial group in Sugar Land, Texas, responsible for strategic analysis and technical marketing for the group’s refinery and petrochemical process technologies. He has also held various product development, product management, technical support management and sales positions during his career in the hydrocarbon processing specialty chemicals industry. Scott has a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois, and an MBA (International Business) from the University of Houston.
